Nora, the feline soloist…

June 8, 2009 2:53 pm

So, here is this sweet sweet kitty named Nora and she seems to have an appreciation for music!!! Nora is just a regular feline, a gray tabby rescued from a shelter as a kitten. She was named after the artist Leonora Carrington.

Read her full story here:

Nora enjoys “playing” the piano and now has had a piece of chamber music written for her by a Lithuanian conductor Mindaugas Piecaitis.

Nora’s musical skills have made her quite a celebrity!

Mindaugas Piecaitis’s four-minute piece for the Klaipeda chamber orchestra had its premiere on Friday, with a video of the six-year-old feline soloist in the background, see BBC news story here:  Piano-playing cat takes centre stage.
